Atlanta Technology Angels

Atlanta Technology Angels is a member-led, non-profit association of accredited angel investors founded in 1998, with a mission to build the Southeast's economy into a thriving center of technology and entrepreneurship. ATA invests $200K–$2M in top-tier early-stage technology companies — primarily in the greater Atlanta area and broader Southeast — providing not just capital but genuine partnership through mentorship, industry expertise, and valuable contacts. ATA targets technology-oriented businesses with the potential to scale rapidly and with capital efficiency, preferring companies at beta stage or beyond with initial revenue and demonstrated customer traction. The group does 6–8 deals per year, leading rounds of $300K–$750K via convertible notes, and also participates in angel deals or fills out priced rounds alongside a lead investor. Sectors of focus include software, fintech, healthtech, B2B SaaS, and other technology-driven verticals; the group generally does not invest in pharmaceuticals.
