Founded in 2010 by Karthik Reddy and Sanjay Nath, Blume Ventures is India's largest homegrown, most active tech-focused early-stage VC firm, with over $900 million in AUM across five core funds. Blume invests in Seed and pre-Series A rounds in tech-led startups led by founders obsessed with solving hard problems for the Indian market and from India for the world — backing companies that are 'Indian at heart or origin, but willing to conquer the world market if needed to build scale.' About a third of the portfolio takes Indian engineering skills to build products for global markets. Blume distinguishes itself through a 'capital, counsel, and conviction' model: beyond funding ($1.5–$3m typical initial check), it provides on-demand advisory via its Constellation Blu (financial/legal) and MetaMorph (recruitment) platforms, and remains invested for eight to ten years. The firm backs founders across B2B and B2C, deep tech and consumer, preferring ventures with some customer validation and, for first-time founders, a minimum annualised revenue rate of ~$375k before engagement.
