Clean Growth Fund

Clean Growth Fund (CGF) is a UK-based specialist climate venture capital firm investing in early-stage clean technology companies that develop innovative solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve resource efficiency. The fund focuses on Seed and Series A investments into companies with limited technical risk but some scale-up and market risk, targeting innovations across six core sectors: power, buildings, transport, industry, waste/water, and agrifood. Prospective investments must demonstrate significant potential to cut CO2-equivalent emissions or improve resource efficiency, and CGF applies a proprietary 'return on carbon' ESG framework alongside financial return targets of 2.5× and 20% IRR. The fund deploys initial cheques of £500k–£5m into UK-based companies, supporting them beyond capital through its close partnership with Carbon Limiting Technologies, the UK's most established early-stage cleantech incubator.
