Connecticut Innovations (CI) is Connecticut's strategic venture capital arm and the leading source of financing and ongoing support for innovative, growing companies in the state. CI actively seeks proof-of-concept, pre-seed, seed, and early-stage investments with a focus on biosciences, technology, and climate verticals, typically investing between $100,000 and $1.5 million per round, with larger commitments available through dedicated funds. By offering equity and debt investments, strategic guidance, and introductions to valuable partners, CI enables promising businesses to thrive across all stages of growth. CI deploys capital through several thematic funds: the $50M AI/Q Fund targeting scalable commercial AI, quantum computing, and deep tech ventures; the $100M ClimateTech Fund supporting early-stage and growth climate companies; the $200M Connecticut Bioscience Innovation Fund; and the $50M Future Fund focused on diverse ideas and industries. CI leads approximately 70% of first investments in Connecticut startups, supporting nascent companies as they build proof of concept, and partners with entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, universities, corporate innovation arms, and government organizations to grow Connecticut's innovation ecosystem.
