Fresenius Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA, deploying more than €200 million over five years (2026–2031) in founders, technologies, and business models from early financing rounds through to the growth stage. The fund targets growth fields adjacent to Fresenius' existing strategic platforms — (Bio)Pharma, MedTech, and Care Provision — with specific focus areas including precision nutrition, microbiome research, new modalities, and digital care provision solutions. The unit combines venture capital with Fresenius' deep medical, regulatory, and operational expertise, and connects portfolio companies to clinical, scientific, and academic networks. Typical initial ticket sizes range from €5 million to €15 million per round, co-invested alongside leading institutional VCs on market-aligned terms. Portfolio companies gain access to Fresenius' global footprint: a clinical environment treating 27 million patients annually across 136 hospitals, regulatory expertise spanning 60+ countries, and established biomanufacturing capabilities.
