Garden City Equity is a people-first, evergreen holding company that acquires and permanently holds family- and founder-owned service businesses in the South and Southwest United States, targeting lower middle-market companies with up to $25 million of EBITDA. Unlike traditional private equity, Garden City uses little to no debt, has no intent to sell its businesses, retains existing management teams, and is backed by approximately 200 mission-aligned individual shareholders rather than institutional investors. The firm's mission is to create workplaces where every team member can thrive with dignity and purpose, viewing the acquisition of small and mid-sized businesses facing succession challenges as both a financial opportunity and a social good.
