Invest Detroit is a mission-driven Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that catalyzes equity, investment, and wealth generation in Detroit and across Michigan. Through its venture capital arm ID Ventures, the organization scales promising early-stage startups into thriving companies that support the state's economy, provide jobs to local talent, and bolster Michigan's growing startup community. ID Ventures is the most active pre-seed through early Series A funder in the Great Lakes region, managing over 244 companies across multiple sectors including life sciences and healthcare, information technology, fintech, mobility, advanced manufacturing and materials. The firm implements a deliberate inclusive investment strategy supporting minority, immigrant, and women entrepreneurs, with 72% of portfolio companies led by diverse founders.
