LifeArc Ventures

LifeArc Ventures is the venture capital arm of LifeArc, a self-funded UK medical research charity. It invests in Seed to Series B therapeutics and medtech companies across all therapeutic areas and modalities, co-investing with other leading life sciences venture funds globally. As the firm states: "We invest collaboratively across the full spectrum of therapeutics and medtech companies which our investment team believes have the potential to deliver life-changing patient impact across a broad range of indications, while generating financial returns for LifeArc to reinvest in its core objectives." LifeArc Ventures offers portfolio companies a unique combination of venture funding, scientific support through LifeArc's labs in Stevenage and Edinburgh, and deep translational expertise. The fund focuses primarily on UK science but invests globally, and also runs a fund-of-funds strategy investing in leading global life sciences venture funds. Financial returns are returned to LifeArc to sustain its charitable mission of translating promising science into patient impact.
