LIFTT is a venture capital holding company focused on deep tech, with a hands-on, multi-sector approach aimed at creating meaningful impact. Founded in 2019 by Compagnia di San Paolo, Politecnico di Torino, and LINKS Foundation, and chaired by physicist-entrepreneur Stefano Buono, LIFTT's mission is to turn outstanding scientific research into high-impact businesses, speeding up the journey from lab to market. The firm invests from the earliest stages — pre-seed through Series A — across four strategic verticals: Critical Resources, Human Health & Aging, Infrastructure for the Data Revolution, and Energy Security & Industrial Automation. LIFTT targets breakthrough technologies in hardware B2B deep tech fields such as quantum computing, photonics, semiconductors, advanced materials, and life sciences, emphasising unique intellectual property and exceptional scientific teams. Beyond capital, LIFTT provides managerial coaching, governance guidance, and access to a curated international network of over 200 private and institutional investors. Active across Europe with a global outlook, LIFTT has raised over €104.7 million, completed more than 50 investments, and in 2024 established LIFTT EuroInvest — a €100 million joint vehicle with the European Investment Bank — to further scale equity investments in innovative Italian and European companies.
