Luminous Ventures is a London-based early-stage VC fund that partners with founders pushing the boundaries of science and technology to solve the world's greatest challenges. The firm invests at the intersection of deep technology and human health, backing the application of AI, VR/AR, edge computing, robotics, quantum technologies, and synthetic biology to healthcare, life science, nutrition, food, and agriculture at Seed and Series A stages in Europe and North America. Spun out of White Cloud Capital in 2018 with a $30m Fund I, Luminous prefers to be the first venture investor — backing visionary founders with breakthrough technologies and investing as little as €250,000 and as much as €5,000,000. Backed by a network of families, the firm is also the EIT Health's lead country investor for the UK, and has co-invested alongside Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, Draper Esprit, Horizons Ventures, IQ Capital, and others.
