Mercuri is an early-stage venture capital fund and first-cheque investor leading pre-seed and seed funding rounds for UK media technology and AI companies. Founded in Kings Cross, London in 2017, the firm backs outstanding founders building at the intersection of media, entertainment and AI — from generative AI, agentic AI and voice AI to creator economy platforms, gaming, XR, next-generation advertising and AI inference compute. Mercuri invests across the full content and data value chain — backing technology for the creation, distribution, consumption and monetisation of content and data. The firm takes an engaged approach, often taking board seats and working actively alongside founders post-investment, and reserves 40% of each fund for follow-on investment.
