Founded in 2003, Merion Investment Partners is investing from its fourth fund, managing over $550MM of capital. Merion is a licensed SBIC and a leading provider of mezzanine and equity capital to the lower middle market. Merion invests mezzanine debt with equity features in companies that have strong growth potential, proven management teams, a strategic competitive advantage and/or are operating in sectors of the economy that are poised to exhibit growth. The firm invests mezzanine debt and equity in companies to support organic growth, acquisitions, buyouts and internal transfer of ownership. The fund will invest alongside private equity sponsors as well as directly with entrepreneurs. Merion seeks to invest in lower middle market companies with strong management and proprietary products or market position located in the United States, with a focus on business services, specialty manufacturing, healthcare, profitable technology companies with proven products and markets, and eCommerce. General attributes of portfolio companies include revenues greater than $10 million and EBITDA greater than $2 million.
