Oxford University Innovation (OUI) is the technology transfer office and innovation partner of the University of Oxford, turning world-leading academic knowledge and research into real-world commercial applications. OUI protects intellectual property, creates and grows spinout companies, and manages the University's equity stakes across a portfolio spanning life sciences, health technologies, artificial intelligence, climate and agricultural technology. Through its key funds — the University Challenge Seed Fund (UCSF), the UK's longest continuously running proof-of-concept fund, and the Spinout Equity Management Fund (SEM Fund) — OUI bridges the gap between discovery and investment, supporting early-stage companies from first validation through to investor readiness. OUI also works closely with external partners such as Oxford Science Enterprises and Parkwalk to connect portfolio companies with follow-on institutional capital.
