Strand Ventures

Strand Ventures is the UK's first fully student-led venture capital fund, founded at King's College London in 2024. Its mission is to be the first believers and investors in bold, exceptional student founders across the United Kingdom, bridging the funding gap that exists at the idea and MVP stages where traditional VCs rarely invest. The fund provides pre-seed capital (cheques of ~£70k), mentorship, and access to a network of investors, alumni, and accelerators. Strand Ventures operates a scout-led model with 15+ venture scouts across Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, Warwick, UCL, and KCL, and is raising a £5M generalist fund targeting sectors including SaaS, AI, consumer goods, EdTech, ClimateTech, and DeepTech.
