Yield Lab Europe is a specialist, impact-driven venture capital fund focused exclusively on early-stage European AgriFoodTech companies. Its mission is to help disruptive, science-deep innovations go to market and shape a sustainable, healthy agrifood system — investing across genetics & crop protection, big data & precision farming, bioenergy & biomaterials, novel farming systems, and innovative food & beverages (B2B only). The fund backs fully-formed companies with real scientific depth, unique IP, and a proven market of significant scale, sourcing from leading university spin-offs (Cambridge, UCD, Wageningen, INRAE, ETH Zurich) and early-stage startups. In addition to capital (€100k–€3m per company, pre-seed to Series A), Yield Lab Europe provides access to its global network of agrifood corporates, experts, and co-investors to help portfolio companies scale and commercialise internationally. Fund 1 raised €55m and backed 32 companies; Fund 2 targets €100m (anchored by a €25m EIF/InvestEU commitment) with initial tickets averaging ~€750k and two-thirds of capital reserved for follow-on rounds.
