2050 Capital is an early-stage deep tech and science investment syndicate based in London, formerly known as London Venture Factory. The firm invests in transformative and defensible innovation that impacts large fundamental sectors, focusing on enterprise software with a deep science component, computational biotech, and engineering and science ventures. Target companies must have developed deep software technology or products/services based on science R&D, be innovating large fundamental sectors, have established teams ready to scale, demonstrated profitable and scalable unit economics, and validated market demand. The firm operates as a solo-GP organisation supported by a deep network of seasoned early-stage investors, former entrepreneurs, and subject matter experts. It deploys approximately £1 million from principals and syndicate into 2–4 deals per year, structured through SPVs. Seed checks range from $200–500k, with follow-on investments of up to $3m. Over 50% of investments have been follow-ons. The investment approach is disciplined and surgical, backed by deep due diligence, with portfolio support spanning business development, strategy, and next-stage fundraising from the first check onward.
