Henley Business Angels

Henley Business Angels (HBA) is a network of experienced business leaders, successful entrepreneurs and investors operating under the auspices of Henley Business School at the University of Reading. The network's aim is to facilitate opportunities for members to invest in and mentor (S)EIS-registered early-stage businesses launched by entrepreneurs who graduated from or are connected with Henley Business School and the University of Reading. Members are looking to invest in new and early-stage, high-growth businesses whose founders are seeking £50,000 to £500,000 to accelerate growth. HBA operates with a Thames Valley focus and is particularly interested in clean/green tech, life-science, biomedical, new technologies such as robotics, and SaaS businesses, though all sectors are considered. Investors look for a knowledgeable management team, a business idea that solves a real problem, significant competitive advantage, rapid scalability, and a clear route to exit — typically via trade sale or IPO — targeting >10X return within 5–7 years.
