Investing Women Angels

Investing Women Angels is a female-led angel investment syndicate founded in Edinburgh in 2013, focused on the advancement of female-founded and female-led businesses through investment, community, and education. The syndicate backs UK-based companies with at least one female founder, investing up to £250,000 in pre-seed and seed rounds, and regularly participates in larger syndicated rounds alongside other angel groups and lead investors. Their all-female syndicate comprises experienced operators, founders, and senior leaders across a range of sectors who bring more than capital — offering networks, strategic support, and belief in the founders they back. A second pillar of their mission is to increase women's participation in angel investing itself. Through monthly Lunch & Learn sessions, community events, and their sister company AccelerateHER, they aim to demystify angel investing and create an unrivalled pool of impact-focused female angel investors. As they state: "Our ambitions are two-fold: to act as a catalyst for the next generation of business success stories, by supporting and empowering the women leaders and founders in those businesses. Our second is to help as many women as possible to enter the investing space, and by doing so create an unrivalled pool of impact-focused angel investors."
