London Co-Investment Fund (LCIF)

The London Co-Investment Fund (LCIF) is an £85m public-private venture capital fund co-managed by Funding London and Capital Enterprise, backed by £25m from the Mayor of London through the London Economic Action Partnership (LEAP) and up to £60m from private co-investment partners. LCIF targets seed-stage science, digital, and technology startups based in London that are demonstrably committed to creating jobs in the capital, co-investing alongside leading VC firms, angel investors, and crowdfunding platforms in rounds typically between £250k and £1.5m. The stated aim is not to fund companies that otherwise would not get funded, but rather to enable those who can raise to raise significantly more — giving them sufficient capital, time, and resources to prove their business model and position themselves for their next funding round.
