Seedcamp is Europe's original seed fund, founded in 2007, and positions itself as the "Day One" partner for world-class founders. The firm is deliberately sector-agnostic, backing founders from pre-product and pre-revenue through early revenue — explicitly stating that "what matters most to us is the founder and the scale of their ambition, not the stage of the business." Seedcamp looks for founders with dissatisfaction with 'good enough', a relentless default to action, deep understanding of their problem, and the drive to build global, category-defining companies. With Fund VII ($220M flagship first-check fund) and a $100M Select Fund for follow-on from Series B onward, Seedcamp has reached $1B AUM and backed 550+ companies including Revolut, Wise, UiPath, Synthesia, Pleo, and Sorare. The firm writes initial cheques of $350K–$1.25M, targets 5–10% ownership, leads ~70% of deals, and reserves 40% for follow-on. It draws on a community of 1,200+ operators and 80 founder-investors to provide "unfiltered advice, unwavering support, and an unrivalled network."
