NBS Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Nationwide Building Society, a UK mutual organisation owned by its 16 million members. The fund looks for "inspirational teams who are developing impressive solutions that can help Nationwide to accelerate its strategy and prepare us for the future, to benefit our members, and society as a whole." Investments must demonstrate strategic alignment — accelerating Nationwide's delivery through solutions that address today's challenges or prepare for future ones — and mutual benefit, with NBS Ventures taking board observer positions to support portfolio companies as well as Nationwide. The fund focuses on relevant domains including fintech, data, cybersecurity, regtech, proptech and marketing tech, investing predominantly at Seed to Series B in UK-focused companies, though global opportunities are considered where they can benefit Nationwide.
