Small Ventures USA, LP (SMV) is a venture capital and private equity firm founded by William O. Perkins III, based in Houston, Texas. SMV deploys capital across multiple sectors and geographic regions on an opportunistic basis, with a bias toward early-stage investment. In addition to funding, SMV provides operational and financial-trading capabilities to its investment portfolio. SMV invests in three broad areas: Energy (clean energy, green projects, and international infrastructure projects), Technology (focus on service companies and internet-oriented companies), and Entertainment (royalty lending, movie production and development, financing). A small percentage of the budget is also dedicated to unique investments outside these core areas.
