Sure Ventures PLC is a London Stock Exchange-listed (LSE: SURE) venture capital fund that provides investors with diversified exposure to early-stage software companies in the rapidly growing technology areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT), and Cybersecurity. The fund invests at the seed stage of software companies, helping them grow toward their Series A, at which point it intends to follow on its investment. It operates primarily through its holding in Sure Valley Ventures (SVV), whose sovereign-backed investors include the British Business Bank and Enterprise Ireland. The portfolio is predominantly exposed to companies with principal operations in the UK, Ireland, or elsewhere in the EEA, though it is not geographically constrained. The fund ordinarily acquires a significant equity interest of between 20% and 50% in investee companies, and no single investment may exceed 15% of net asset value.
