Trolley Ventures is a Richmond, Virginia-based early-stage fund founded in 2017 to address the funding gap for startups in Central Virginia. The firm focuses exclusively on companies with a meaningful presence in the region, providing investors a turn-key solution to diversify across many businesses through a single investment, while giving early-stage founders access to capital through a single relationship and a streamlined application process. The firm emerged from CVA Angels, a network of over 200 angel investors co-founded by Brad Cummings, and operates a membership model designed to benefit both sides of the funding equation. Trolley Ventures invests across a diverse range of sectors including high tech, EdTech, enterprise applications, HealthTech, and aerospace, with a primary focus on seed-stage companies in Central Virginia.
