HERmesa

HERmesa is a UK-based angel syndicate founded in early 2020 with a dual mission: to give more women a seat at the table as early-stage investors, and to direct more capital into women co-founded startups. The syndicate invests 'smart money' — capital and expertise — in extraordinary women (co-)founded companies at pre-seed and seed stage, writing cheques of approximately £50–£150k under a single entity. HERmesa is sector-agnostic but has a strong preference for technology-enabled businesses with significant IP protection and initial traction, and looks for companies where female co-founders hold significant equity and decision-making roles. Beyond capital, the community of 170+ 'operators turned angels' supports portfolio companies as advisors, advocates, and door-openers.
